Bournemouth's first Air Festival was launched in 2008 to get success. The event runs over four days in August and promises to be a spectacular occasion. Spectators can view the festival as far away as the Purbeck hills, right the way along miles of Bournemouth's sandy award-winning beaches and further along the coast.

In 2008 an estimated 750,000 locals & tourists attended the festival & nearly double that in 2009 at approx. 1,344,000 ... the largest event of its kind in the UK. Visit the DorsetMap Gallery for a great collection of photos taken in 2008 for a flavour of the event.

A wide variety of spectacles and exhibits are presented - 2012 to be published in due course. Previous events have included:-
